London, England

On Wednesday night, we got on a flight & headed to London. The first night was a little rough. We landed at around 11 then got in the cab to go to our hotel. Our cab smelled like feet and the driver thought he was a NASCAR driver. We finally got to the hotel around 1 but when we walked in our room there was only one bed for the three of us. Ryan ended up sleeping on the floor the first night then the next two nights we all crammed in the bed haha. On the bright side, our hotel was in a really good location; right next to the London Eye. The next morning we woke up & went to breakfast at a little cafe in Westminster. After that we visited the Big Ben, Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. When we finished sight seeing we decided to go to Chipotle, I have no regrets. After that we went to an ice cream shop called Milk Train. They sell soft serve ice cream in cones with cotton candy around them. I got blueberry soft serve with sprinkles and it was amazing. Since we finished pretty early in the day Jay and I got our nails done before heading back to the hotel. On Friday morning Jay and I went to an afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason. It was adorable! We both got a lobster omelette and green tea to start, then they brought out a plate tower with scones and other mini deserts. It was delicious! After that we went to Oxford Street to do some shopping. We met up with Ryan for dinner and got some fish and chips. At night we went to a club called Tiger Tiger to meet up with my friend from home, Spencer! It was so cool to see her in London. The club had multiple sections and floors. It was like a London version of Brick, but with creepier guys. On our walk back we stopped to get McDonalds fries.. I don’t know why I do this to myself. I never eat McDonalds at home & this is already my third time going in Europe. RIP. Saturday morning we got up, packed our stuff & went to Notting Hill. We walked around to see the pretty houses & walked through the street markets. We stopped in a cafe to eat ice cream and drink tea then headed to the airport. When we got to the airport we tried to get through security then we were told our tickets were for March 25 not February 25…. so we had to buy a ticket for the next day to Frankfurt and take a bus from Frankfurt to Luxembourg. Not the best way to end the trip but at least we decided to leave Saturday night and not Sunday. Although my eating habits were extremely poor & the beginning and end of the trip were a little rough, it ended up being a really fun time! London is definitely up there with the coolest places I’ve visited.
