Trier and Cologne, Germany

This past weekend I took a trip to Trier and Cologne with some of the new people I have met. On Friday, we arrived in Trier. We walked around, ate some dinner then went to a wine tasting! We tried 4 different kinds of Rieslings. We learned that the drier the wine, the less sugar is in it, which means the alcohol content is higher. That night I had my first Airbnb experience. Our host was really cool and took us on a little tour around Trier.

Saturday we headed to Cologne and visited the Cathedral and the Chocolate Museum. We climbed 37 flights to the top of the cathedral, which was definitely a workout, then rewarded ourselves with chocolate at the museum after. At night we went out on the town and found a cute little German restaurant/pub. We had a few glasses of wine and then headed back to the hostel (another experience) for the night.
