Soaps, Salts, and Silk Foundations
Hello beauties! It’s been a gloomy couple of days in both Florida and Pittsburgh. I’ve been lazy & haven’t really left the house! I love rainy days every once in awhile. You get to snuggle up, watch movies, and pamper yourself!
I received a package earlier this summer from a boutique called Whiskey Moon. They are a trendy store located in Pittsburgh! They sent me two sample sized sugar scrubs (my favorite!), bath salts, a candle, shower bar, necklace, sunglasses, and a tshirt. How sweet?! I was so excited when I opened the package. I could not wait to try everything; each scent they sent me was incredible! They have everything from Toasted Coconut to Almond Maple to Spellbound (everyone’s favorite). They also have soaps, body oils, and face masks! I definitely need to make a trip down to stock up before I head back to school!
I’m always looking for places that sell handmade lotions, soaps, bath salts, etc. When I was in Cape May, we stopped in a little bath store that sold all kinds of this stuff. I bought a Sicilian Blood Orange face cream by Tarocco and a Rosewater & Jasmine soap bar and lotion! They both smell so amazing and soak up that dry, after-beach skin!
Whenever I am finished pampering myself, I either crawl up and binge watch Grey’s and Sex and The City or I throw on my robe and get ready.
I usually don’t wear a lot of makeup, unless I’m going out with my friends, so I’m just going to share my every day look with you guys! I start out with a primer and then apply foundation all over my face. I use the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. It’s so light and smooth, I love it! It is a little pricy, but a little bit goes a long way, so I know it will last me awhile. Afterwards, I cover my eyelid with a light (usually gold) eyeshadow. I recently bought this new palette from Tarte and I loveeee it. So far I have used the colors ‘shine on’, ‘boss lady’, and ‘strive’. Next, I throw on a little mascara, always the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original. It’s like $5 at Target and is the best mascara I have ever used. Since I have my eyebrows microbladed, I don’t need to fill them in, which brings me to my next step; concealer. I have the worst under eye circles, so concealer is my best friend haha. I use Make Up Forever Full Cover concealer as well as IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer. After I blend it all in I powder my face with Laura Mercier’s translucent setting powder. To finish off my makeup I contour my face with some bronzer and highlighter from my Chrissy palette by Becca and ta-da, I’m all done! It’s so quick and easy!
