Luxembourg City, Luxembourg & Strasbourg, France

For spring break my dad and older sister came to Europe to visit! On Friday my dad flew into Lux so after class I showed him around the chateau and my host house. We took a train into the city where we ate some cheese and drank mojitos. After relaxing in the square we checked into the hotel and walked around before eating a late dinner at a little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Luxembourg. We shared a bottle of dry white Riesling and ate salmon and dumplings. After dinner we walked some of the dinner off and went back to the hotel to get some sleep. On Saturday we got up early to head into Strasbourg, France. This was such a cute town, it reminded me of Beauty and the Beast! Although we were in France, it had a German feel to it. There were white and brown houses with a lot of wood and lots of German food. We spent the day walking around the market, visiting churches and shopping. After a day of touring we ate dinner at a popular restaurant along the river. My dad had a popular German chicken dish and I had salmon. It was amazing! We headed back to the hotel to pack up since the next day we were leaving for Switzerland to meet Logan. On Sunday we woke up and enjoyed a nice Easter brunch at the hotel. I had the best croissant of my life. They had so many marmalades to choose from but I picked the rose flavor to have with my croissant. Sooo good. After brunch we took a taxi to the train station where we headed to Interlaken! This was my first time going to Switzerland and I was going to see my sister so I was super excited. When we arrived we dropped our stuff off at the hotel and walked around. We bought some chocolate then walked back to the train station to meet Logan. After getting her we went back to the hotel where we ate dinner. We had cheese fondue and drank red wine (which is now a favorite) then passed out in our cute hotel room.
