Brussels, Belgium & Amsterdam, Netherlands

This past weekend I went to Brussels and Amsterdam. Brussels was so much better the second time around! The first time we went on a whim and had no idea what to do. This time, the weather was amazing and we went on a caves and chocolate tour. The caves tour was cool because we walked through the cave then got in a boat that took us back. Afterwards, we went on a chocolate tour. We were able to stop in 6 different shops, starting from the bottom and going up to high end chocolate stores that charge $500/kg. We got free samples and we’re able to buy some if we wanted to! After the tour, Holly, Sarah, Jay and I bought waffles and hopped on a bus to Amsterdam where we met Mia. On Saturday, we ate breakfast then took a metro into the city. We went on a canal tour where they sailed us around the city and told us the history of Amsterdam. When we got off the boat we decided to walk around. We went in some shops and ate frozen yogurt. We walked to the Iamsterdam sign and tried to get a picture, which is a lot harder than you’d think! It was a beautiful day but we picked a really bad time to go haha there were people everywhere climbing the sign. After that we got some sushi and headed back to the hotel to freshen up. Mia and I were so tired we almost didn’t want to go back out but after relaxing for an hour we freshened up and went back into the city. We stopped at a popular pub for some burgers and beers then went to the Red Light District. This was so sketchy to me. One of the girls pointed at Jay and a group of men started following us and I swear I almost had a panic attack. I didn’t know why they were following us but later on my friends told me Jay was taking a video and the girl saw so I guess the guys wanted money or something. I, of course, thought the worst and thought they wanted to pull Jay into sex trafficking or something so I told her what we saw and we bolted out of there. It was probably around midnight at that point so Holly, Mia and I decided to head back. The next morning Mia left and the rest of us went into the city before leaving for Lux. It was a really fun weekend, minus that sketchy part of Saturday night! Next stop: SPAIN!
